Trust is the hard part. That's what I design.

In AI product design especially, it comes down to one moment: whether a person trusts the output enough to act on it.

I've been designing for that moment since before it was called an AI problem. Different industries, different interfaces — the same core question: what does a person need to see, and how certain do they need to feel, before they act?

At IG Group, DailyFX was one of several products — financial analysis for retail traders making real-money decisions in real time. The design problem wasn't charting or layout. It was whether a trader could read a position clearly enough to trust it before committing capital.

At Deel it's AI-assisted decisions about people's employment, contracts, and payroll. The stakes are different. The responsibility to get that moment right isn't.

I work close to the material — prototyping in the browser, staying near the code until the decisions get sharp.

Craft first, process second.

Good design comes from taste, curiosity, and iteration — not frameworks. I use process to protect space for craft, not to replace it.

Design and code are the same conversation.

I prototype in the browser, write my own CSS, and use AI tools to close the gap between what I imagine and what ships. The closer I stay to the material, the better the decisions.

Influence through work, not authority.

The best design teams I've been part of ran on shared ownership of quality, not hierarchy. I raise the bar through strong feedback, working in public, and clear principles.
